Fortune x Michelle Heath: Everything I Thought About Success Was Wrong

πŸ™Œ When Fortune magazine asked me the key to being wildly successful before 40, what was the first thing that burst into my mind? πŸ™Œ

I thought: Everything I thought about success was wrong.

I thought success was:
πŸ’  The top of the ladder
πŸ’  Big titles
πŸ’  Bigger offices
πŸ’  Even bigger paychecks

What I realized?
I was living someone else’s dream. πŸ™€

What did I do?
I hit reset on my definition of success. πŸ’ƒπŸΌ

What I’ve learned about success:
πŸš€ Success is not copy/paste. Forget copying other people. What work for them may not work for you. Define success for yourself!
πŸš€ It’s okay to pivot. Whether it’s moving across, down, or starting over, success isn’t always “up” – embrace the jungle gym!
πŸš€ Make failure part of your story. Failure isn’t the end—it’s part of the journey. Every risk and obstacle teaches us something new.
πŸš€ Balance matters. Success at work shouldn’t mean sacrificing your personal life. Prioritize what makes you truly happy.
πŸš€ Dare to be bold. The road less traveled may seem daunting, but it’s where the real growth happens.
πŸš€ Success is never β€œdone.” Give yourself permission to evolve with it. 🌟

You do YOU.

Success is not one-size-fits-all.

In fact,
I’m still defining it for myself!
